“Amanda Williams, originally from Tampa, Florida, began her studies at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, Sciences-Politiques and La Sorbonne, in Paris France.  She obtained her law degree at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.  After some time in private practice, Amanda transitioned to in-house legal practice with Jabil Circuit.  She relocated to Asia in 2009 to join the Asia Pacific legal department for Danone in Shanghai.  Currently the General Counsel and Secretary to the Board for Borouge Pte Ltd, a polyolefin supplier throughout Asia, Middle East and Africa, Amanda manages the legal department delivering all legal and advisory guidance for the sale and marketing of Borouge’s polyolefin products, including the research and development facility located in the UAE and the compounding plant located in China.  Trademark and patent protection is a critical intangible asset for Borouge, particularly in a robust industry dominated by petrochemical giants like Dow, Chevron-Phillips and Lyondell Basell.  With the anticipated construction of the world’s largest mixed feed cracker, Borouge will be able to diversify its portfolio and assure supply to its ever expanding customer base making Amanda busier than ever.  When not traveling or in the office, Amanda can be found helicopter parenting her teens and clowder of cats.”
